Product Recall: Polaris ATV
An automobile relies heavily on a good Electronic Control Module or ECM to function properly. This is not only to say that the ECM is doing its job of coordinating processes to make a vehicle run but that it must not overheat in doing so. Overheating ECMs are the reason why about 700 all-terrain vehicles or ATVs manufactured by Polaris Industries are being recalled by the Consumer Product Safety Commission. These vehicles were found to have defective ECM that overheat over a period of time and causes fire and burn hazards to the rider.
Product Recall: Bassettbaby cribs
Manufacture of cribs is governed by federal laws to ensure the safety of babies who will be using them. This is also in response to an alarming number of crib-related deaths in the country. Every year an estimated 26 infants die, and around 11,500 are hospitalized due to injuries acquired in cribs. Common causes of these deaths and injuries are suffocation and entrapment. These two are also the top reasons for several crib recalls in the past year.

The United States has seen a considerable increase in bankruptcy filings among citizens aged 65 and older since 1991. According to a recent study, while most of those who file for bankruptcy these days come from the 30-40 age brackets, the abrupt increase in filings among those who are older is remarkable. Studies show that from an 8.2% increase recorded in 1991, the number went up to 22.3% in 2007. Interestingly, the number of individuals from the younger age brackets who have filed for bankruptcy has considerably decreased.
