ATV Mud Tire : What is it?
| ATV mud tires provide traction on soft muddy terrains. They have large, chunky treads arranged in open chevron patterns, which spread and cut into the mud to increase grip and regulate speed. The treads are spaced far apart so that the mud sloughs off faster and does not get stuck between the lugs. This design makes them unsuitable for paved or even trails, because they have limited contact with the ground and tend to be noisy at high speeds. |

Kinds of ATV Mud Tires include the following: |
Rubber mud tires
- Rubber mud tires are heavier, thicker, and have stronger grip than nylon tires.
- They are ideal for slow treading on farms with dense, heavy mud.
Nylon mud tires
- Nylon mud tires are thinner than rubber, but they are still fairly durable.
- They are used for softer trails, races, and general outdoor activity.

Traction : Choose an ATV mud tire with deep lugs to provide better grip and stability. Look for lugs that overlap at the center to push the mud away from the tire and better clear your path.
Self-cleaning: Choose an ATV mud tire with self-cleaning treads to keep mud from settling on the tire or between the lugs. Choose one with a wide lug pattern that drops thick mud as the tire turns. |
