 Motorcycle tires are made of rubber with treads that generate heat for better grip and traction. They determine the speed and smoothness of the ride. They require proper and frequent maintenance to ensure functionality and strength.

Kinds of Motorcycle Tires include the following:
Bias-ply motorcycle tires
- Bias-ply motorcycle tires have tall sidewalls and round profiles.
- Their carcasses (treads inside the tires) consist of overlapping layers of cords made of rayon, nylon, or other synthetic materials. Often called plies, these layers extend across the tires.
- They are capable of flexing actions that generate heat and provide excellent grip.
- They usually have excellent shock absorption.
- They are commonly used on cruisers.
- However, their performance decreases as they are used.
Radial motorcycle tires
- Radial motorcycle tires have short sidewalls and flat profiles.
- They are designed with plies running at a 90-degree angle.
- They have reduced heat generation, making them cooler. However, because of this, the sidewalls flex easily.
- They have excellent grip and handling, making them ideal for touring and other extensive motorcycle activities.
- They have great straightaway stability, allowing them to be used on both dry and wet pavements.
- They are commonly used on sports motorbikes.

Traction: For greater traction, choose motorcycle tires made of sift rubber. Although they are not very durable, they are stable enough to be used on rough roads.
Mileage: For excellent mileage, choose motorcycle tires made of firm rubber that can withstand years of use.
Construction: To ensure performance and quality, choose motorcycle tires that have not yet exceeded five or six years after their manufacture date.
