I bought this for my 9 year old son's birthday. And he loves it. The battery is only 45 minutes though. That works out okay for just him but if his sister or friends want to drive then the battery limits each person's time on the buggy. It works better on a hard surface but you can use it on the grass, however, I felt the battery life was shorter due to the softer, rougher surface. Also, a week after we had it my daughter "crash" into a curb just right and broke a piece from underneath. We called Razor directly and they were very helpful in sending us a replacement piece for not a lot of money.

We gave this to our son on his 6th birthday, and he loves it. All the neighbor kids want to take turns riding it around in our cul-de-sac. I was nervous that it might be too fast for him, but it is not; it seems very safe. I'm not sure how well it would do "off-road" because he has gotten stuck going up hills in the grass, but it works great on pavement.

Ordered for my son's sixth birthday. The order was filled promptly and shipped quickly. Arrived in non descript box in excellant condition. The buggy has been used for three weeks at time of this posting. Straight out of the box the buggy has worked flawlessly. The tires were fully inflated, the batteries were fully charged. It is comfortable, relieable, stable, and fun for my son. It performs as described and better as in Razor's and Amazon's descriptions. We use it on a paved driveway, a paved road, some grass and some gravel and it handles them all well. I wouldn't recommend running up hill or in grass or gravel for extended periods though. I definitely recommend this Dune Buggy for anyone with a competent five year old and above.

Bought this for my 5 year old son for his birthday and he and his 7 year old sister love it. It came ready to roll. Just charged it up. I was surprised that it would move well over the grass. It turns on a dime which is handy because it does not go in reverse. Actually that is the only thing I can really fault the dunebuggy with is if you get in to an area that you cannot turn around you have to get out and push the buggy backwards and it is not too easy to move (for a 5 year old). The charge says it will provide 45 minutes of riding. I believe that is true although we have never run it to zero so it may last longer. Good quality from razor!

It is a good ride for kids under 10. and it doesn't have enough power to go uphill.
