Baby pillows are designed to provide extra support and to the head, neck, and upper body. Some pillows are therapeutic, designed to prevent flat heads. They are primarily used for sleeping, but may also be used for play or decoration.
Cotton Baby Pillows have cotton fillings and cases. Some may be blended with polyester for durability. They are fairly comfortable, but tend to flatten and get brittle over time.
Down-filled Baby Pillows are filled with feathers or goose down. They are the softest and most comfortable type of baby pillow, but they require much maintenance and cannot withstand moisture.
Softness. Choose a baby pillow with a soft to medium soft filling. Make sure allows your baby’s head to sink comfortably and does not limit head movement. Look for organic cotton cases and fillings to prevent allergies.
Fittings. Make sure there are no buttons, zippers, or other hard items that can snag or scratch your baby’s head. Look for those with Velcro-sealed cases to minimize lumping.
