Rating : Quality baby bed - J. Lowman, Apr 07, 2008
I don't have a lot of expertise in the area (this is our first baby), but it appears well constructed. Several reviews mentioned difficulty with assembly, but I found it fairly straight forward, although it was helpful to have two people when bolting the spring into place. The gold wheels look a little cheezy, so we left them off and it looks like a classic.
Rating : Jenny Lind Crib - L. W. Sharpe, Mar 28, 2008
I am very happy so far with this crib.
The only reason I did not give it 5 stars is that it did come with a broken end peice and there was no phone # to call and report this, only an email address. The company did send me a new peice in a timely manner but it was very distressing as a soon to be mother to not know what is going on when you are just waiting for a reply e-mail, that did take about 3 days for them to get back to me. Then I received the new peice in about a week.
The crib seems very sturdy and I was able to put it together myself at 7 months pregnant. I am hoping that it will hold up as well once the baby arrives.
Rating : LOVE this Crib!!! - Mommy, Nov 07, 2007
The crib is beautiful! We like the "old school" look of it. It's very sturdy. A little difficult to understand the assembly directions if you've never put together a crib before. The standard size mattress fits into it perfectly. The drop side is easy to operate - can drop the side with your foot or your knee - doesn't require 2 hands. The baby will love it!
Rating : Worth It! - MamaMia, Sep 13, 2007
I bought this crib for our summer home. I wanted something sturdy that would be easy to take apart/put together and store at the end of the summer season. I also wanted it to last for future kids, but didn't want to pay alot since we had already purchased an expensive crib for our full time home. I am very picky and since my daughter is already 20 months, I needed something that could withstand toddlerhood. Based on positive reviews I purchased Da Vinci Jenny Lind in Cherry color. I love the crib! The only problem that I see with the crib is, the wheels do NOT lock. So on hardwood floors the crib rolls if your toddler jumps and moves. On carpet it would be fine, you wouldn't know the difference. My husband taped the wheels so they wouldn't move and that seems to work. The crib itself is VERY sturdy even for a toddler who likes to run back and forth in the crib. It also has a clear teething bar on the rail for biters. Overall, worth the money, looks like you paid much more for it, sturdier than it looks online and it is not a bulky piece of furniture. I would recommend this brand and style to anyone.
Rating : Quality crib. Highly rated. - Mom2B, Aug 24, 2007
I have to admit when I first looked for cribs I wanted something that looked more fancy than this one. But, safety and high ratings were more important. I read so many great reviews about this crib. With the more expensive cribs people had problems with quality, mattresses fitting, or poor instructions. We haven't had any of those problems. I did choose to get the DaVinci Jenny Lind instead of the Delta because they use better quality products and finish. Also, it's a one hand drop down. So I would pay the few extra dollars for the DaVinci. It looks beautiful set up with the bedding too.
