Rating : Great product! - Pam Anderson, Mar 05, 2008
This bottle warmer works well to warm the bottle or baby food jars. It takes about 8-10 mins. It's not too good in the middle of the night, when the baby wants the bottle NOW! But during the day..perfect! I would definately recommend this product to other mothers.

Gives me peace of mind to know the bottle is warmed to the right temp.
Rating : Works well - if you're not in a hurry. - Leslie K, Oct 04, 2007
I've been using this with my baby for 3 1/2 months now. It does work well and as long as you get the bottle out as soon as the light turns green and the chime goes, it won't overheat. If you leave it in there - it will get too hot pretty quickly. The problem with this unit is that it takes way too long to heat a bottle when you have a screaming hungry baby in the middle of the night. On average I heat about 4 oz at a time and it takes over 5 minutes, which doesn't sound long, but at 3 am with a screaming baby, 5 minutes is a REALLY long time. Also, you pretty much have to ignore the fill lines and use trial and error to get the right amount of water in there. If you add too much water it will take even longer to warm the milk, and if you use too little it will come out still cold.
A lot of these issues seem to be common with bottle warmers, however, so I would say if you are just looking for a cheap warmer and can stand the wait, this one does function well. Just be prepared for the longest 5 minutes of your life in the middle of the night!!!
Rating : Decent bottle warmer for the price. - attorney, Apr 22, 2007
Okay, I had an Avent Express Baby Food and Bottle Warmer first because it came in a deluxe starter kit with different sized bottles that I got as a baby shower gift. The bottles ended up not working out for us (because they leaked unless you screwed them on just right) so we returned the whole set to the store. To purchase just the Avent warmer, it was between $30 to $40, so went on our search for an affordable bottle warmer.
We saw this one on sale for $12.00 and it turned out to be a great buy. We just keep the unit plugged in so it's always got warm water to use and stick the bottle in for a couple of minutes and the temp is perfect. I know, I know, it's not supposed to be used this way, but it's been the best solution for us. Put the bottle in, do a diaper change, and viola, the bottle is ready.
If you intend on using it like the instruction say (i.e. turning it on only when you put a bottle in), it does beep and the light turns green when it's ready. However, I did notice that if you don't remove the bottle right when that happens, it does get too hot...like burning hot. So that's a big reason why this warmer gets only 4 stars instead of 5.
I have not used this for baby food, so I cannot comment on that.
