Works great so far - Proud Mom, Aug 25, 2008

We purchased this seat about four months ago along with the book "A Potty for Me!" Our daughter just loves to sit on the chair and read the book. Our purpose was to get her used to the chair. She has fun sitting on it an playing with it for now. She comes into the bathroom and sit on it and says, "potty." It also works great as a step up stool--which she figured out how to use on her own. We have not actually started the potty training process just yet, because she is only 21 months at present and does not show signs that she is ready, but she uses it regularly to sit on.

the perfect potty - Peter Manda, Aug 17, 2008

we are really pleased with this product; it's just the right size, easily opens and closes for cleaning, and best of all our son loves the comfortable cushioned seat. we found the "attachment for boys" a little irritating and dispensed with the product, I suppose it is useful for more squeemish parents but it wasn't for us. didn't detract from the product itself.

Great Little Potty Chair - MomofTwins, Jul 08, 2008

We've got two of these for our son and daughter (2 yrs old), and they've been a success: both of my children were pottytrained in two week, and they love their little potties. I think all the components are great: as a potty, as a stepstool, and as a seat to put on a big toilet: my kids have successfully used all of these. I didn't think they'd use it as a step stool, but they do (very handy!) and they also use it closed as a little seat to put their "big kid underwear" back on. The little grips on the base keep it nice and sturdy, but the grips tend to fall off every time we move the potties between our two bathrooms. It's also a job to clean, but I think it's worth it.

Great for big kids! - Nandi, Jun 29, 2008

This potty seat is great for big kids, 4+. Not all kids are fully trained by the time they are 3 years old. This requires a larger seat and bowl. Most other seats will only accommodate a child to the age of 3 or so. I have twin boys. Training takes longer, much longer. As long as one will not potty, the other will not potty. This potty seat at least gives you the extra time you need to accommodate the larger bottoms involved. The only draw back is that urine gets caught between the cushioned seat and the seat base. You have to clean it after every use if your children (boys) are not good at hitting the mark. I also keep one of these seats in the back of my van. The wider base makes it very sturdy, no tipping over no matter how rough the drive is. A tip for potty training parents: Don't buy expensive liners. Use your left over regular diapers to line your potty seat in your car/van. The diaper soaks all urine up and there is nothing to spill. Just discard the diaper as you did when your child was wearing them. I keep a gallon zipper bag in the van for that purpose.

Highly Recommend! - YoMama, Jun 26, 2008

After doing a great deal of research, as well as reading lots of reviews, I purchased the Graco Soft Seat Trainer for my 17 month old son. We bought before he was actually ready for potty training, as it was highly suggested that we have the potty around for some time so our son could play with it and then be totally comfortable with it when he was ready. Well, as soon as the potty arrived he decided it was the neatest thing since sliced bread. He wanted to sit on it all the time (we kept numbers of his books in the bathroom for his reading pleasure.) He is totally at ease with the seat on the potty or placed on the toilet...and he's gone both #1 and #2 (yeah!). I have also found the "deflector" to do a great job...well, deflecting, the pot easy to cleanl, and my son seems to find the seat very comfy. One option is to place plastic grocery bags in the toilet part to make clean-up a bit easier. After going potty, we put down the top and then use it as a stool to wash hands. After all the time and research I put in to comparing products, my whole family is extremely happy with the purchase - and it was certainly very reasonably priced.
