Amazon.com Product Description

Pregnant moms who struggle to find a comfortable position will love the Leachco Back 'N Belly Contoured Body Pillow. Moms-to-be can sleep well and wake up without aches! The big, roughly U-shaped pillow has two contoured "legs" so you can sleep on your back or either side, tuck the end of the pillow between your knees, and elevate your head to ease heartburn.

The Back N Belly provides support for the back and belly at the same time. Simply reverse the ends of the body pillow for a "double decker" head support. It elevates and aligns the hips to help ensure a natural position, which relieves stress on joints. This Leachco body pillow helps relieve carpal tunnel, sciatica, gastric reflux, and nasal congestion.

The Back 'N Belly is made of cozy, warm polyester and comes with a custom cover case which can be removed for washing. It can be used in positions not shown in the illustrations: Mothers of different sizes, shapes, and sleep preferences can experiment, as many have, to find just the right configuration.

great buy - Valerie M. Ross, May 03, 2008

I was 7 months pregnant when I purchased the pillow. I needed something to support my back and help me sleep better and it has done the job. It is pretty big, but I have a queen size bed and there is still room for my husband in the bed. I would recommend this pillow to any pregnant person. I haven't washed the cover yet so I'm not sure how difficult it will be to put it back on.

Well needed pillow - S I, May 03, 2008

I wish I would have found this sooner. I had a hard time sleeping, because each time I rolled over, I had to take my body pillow with me under the covers. Now, there's not tugging along a pillow... it's already there! I still don't sleep soundly, but the pillow has definately been nice to have. My husband even likes to cuddle with it when I'm facing the oposite direction. Can't wait to use it after having the baby to feed her!

It's great to be able to sleep well again! - L. Gregg, Apr 28, 2008

It's been said before, but it bears repeating: this pillow is fantastic and does exactly what it's been made for. Is it perfect? No. Has it improved the quality of my sleep? Yes - immensely.

I received this pillow a week ago, I'm 21 weeks pregnant, and I'm 5'3" (almost).

Pros:
* Cradles you in sort of a "nest" so you can sleep on your side and be totally supported, front and back.
* I have arthritis in my back between L1 and L2. Sleeping anywhere but on my back usually kills me. With this, I wake up just as refreshed as if I'd gotten a regular, non-pregnant night's sleep.
* Doesn't take up the whole bed (we have a king-sized bed)
* When I wake up to go to the bathroom, I can snuggle right back down and not have to rearrange for 10 minutes like I was doing with my pile o'regular bed pillows.
* Now I don't disturb my husband by thrashing about, trying to find a comfy position.

Cons:
* Yes, the cover is not the smoothest, however, it's not like sleeping on burlap, either.
* It's slightly difficult to get in and out of, but I've found I can just push one pillow leg off the side of the bed and slide out without too much difficulty.
* If you are very tall, the pillow legs may not be long enough.
* The seam on the inside of the "U" part gets kind of taut and can dig into the inside your shoulder. I got used to this in about 15 minutes.

Bottom line:
After seven nights of great sleep (finally!), I would definitely recommend this pillow to someone who's not very tall. The support is great. The proportions are correct. If it squishes down to the extent that others have experienced, I'll gladly buy another one. Totally, totally worth it to get a great night's sleep!

Love this pillow - JS, Apr 22, 2008

I am so glad I purchased this pillow, it has been wonderful! I had been using just a long pillow between my knees to help relieve discomfort during my pregnancy until I was about 6 months along, it was just too uncomfortable and I knew I needed something else. (Infact I was so desperate I paid for the next day shipping)

I searched online and found a few, including this one. I liked this one at first because it had two sides, you could just roll over instead of having to move the entire pillow every time (which is often!) What I didn't realize is how NICE the other side feels against your back! It completely "snuggles" around me, giving lots of support all around (I had no idea how important that was) It was worth every penny, and then some. I don't think I could sleep without it at this point.

My husband thinks I look silly, and is probably a little upset that he can't easily reach me in bed (it takes up my entire half of our cal king bed), but I find him cuddled up to the other side at night, he finds it comfy too. It's bulky, but so is having a bunch of pillows piled around you at night, and at least with this it's super easy to get comfortable again after getting up 5 times a night to go to the bathroom!

The only problem I can even think of is that I often find myself on my back during the night. Although I fall asleep on my side, there is something about the shape of this pillow, it just cradles you so nicely... I've never been a back sleeper, and wasn't until I got this pillow. So for anyone that is paranoid about sleeping on their back during pregnancy, you may find yourself on your back like I have. But it feels like you are floating, no pressure or weight, so I'm not concerned.

I have also used it sitting up with the legs wrapped around my back, which then gave me a pillow surface to work with.. I haven't been able to get very comfy on the couch, especially when I want to do something like write, knit, etc. so having the pillow top right there helps alot and I can see how you could use it like a boppy (?) when feeding a baby (although you'd have to set your baby down to get the pillow worked around you, so I don't know how well the pillow will work after pregnancy, but for now I love it!

Not worth $60.00! - L. Franklin, Apr 16, 2008

I saw all of the positive reviews for this body pillow and drooled over it for some time. It seemed like the best one on amazon. Boy, was I wrong! I'm pregnant and the first night I slept on it was horrible. I woke up with pains in my shoulders from the seams so I removed the cover that came with it as I had read about in other reviews. The next night, same thing. After a week of this I finally gave up. It takes up most of a queen sized bed and I found it didn't give me any support where I needed it. I'm 5'5 1/2'' and slender. No matter what position I was in the pillow was still very uncomfortable. I put it in my daughter's room. Seems the only thing in this house who liked it were the cats. Now it is just taking up space. I would recommend buying a body pillow without any seams in it because for me it just cut into my neck and shoulders all night long.
