Rating : Works great on elongated toilets & easy to store - E. Wilson, Oct 17, 2008
I really didn't want to go the seperate potty route as our bathroom is tiny as it is. This was a good compromise, it's stores fairly flat and takes less than a second to put up. My daughter loves the 'ladder' idea. Only drawback so far is that the non-slip grooves on the step are a bit deep so she's reluctant to step up when she's barefoot.
Rating : Could be sturdier - April D. Dixon, Oct 12, 2008
I bought this hoping for a solution to the frightening experience of falling into the toilet or falling off the toilet. My little girl is very independant and wants to do everything herself. We had hit a road block with the use of the toilet because she can't relax and sit on the seat and I have to help her up onto the toilet. She was really excited when we put it together and knew exactly what it was for. However, it isn't very sturdy at all. It is very wabbly when she is climbing up it and the seat has a tendancy to move (I do have an elongated toilet). So this frightens her still. But it does give her a little extra independance so I am not totally disappointed.
Rating : Space Saver! - Mom of Two, Sep 26, 2008
My two year old daughter does not like the "little potty chair" set ups. She wants to use the "big one". This allows her to get up by herself (with the step) and be seated comfortably (on the child-sized, padded seat with a step to rest her feet and handles to balance herself). She can set the seat up by herself and removes it when she's done. If you have a smaller bathroom, this product is fantastic in that it takes up little space and can lean between the toilet and the wall next to it when not in use. Apparently our toilet was not a standard size and the little pieces that are supposed to make it fit into the adult seat were too widely space making it an awkward fit. You can very easily remove two of them to make it fit better and (even better) if you have someone in the family who is handy with a drill, you can re-situate the spacers so they make a perfect fit. It took my husband about ten minutes to remove and replace them so they fit out toilet seat properly. If we hadn't needed to do this, I would have given the product five stars, hands down. I highly recommend it over potty seats that take up so much room on the floor and that you have to dump and clean!
Rating : Excellent purchase for toilet training - Carolyn A. Smith, Sep 15, 2008
We purchased this seat to help my son potty training - it gave him stability to climb up onto the toilet and he held onto the handles whilst sitting on and then climbing back down. Excellent purchase
Rating : A MUST! - onwisc95, Aug 04, 2008
We bought two of these when my son was 18 months to introduce him to potty training. My son is now 2 years 5 months old and is able to put the potty seat on and off the toilet himself. He loves it. It is easy to clean and is very durable. I was not interested in the baby toilets ... GROSS. No need to train twice and no pails to clean.
