Much nicer than the boppy, because it doesn't slip off. The velcro is noisy, when you have to take it off, but you can always put sleeping baby down, leave the room and then take it off. The fabulous thing about this, is you could even walk around and nurse! The firm platform is a really secure place to position baby, though a football hold is difficult except for the smallest. But then in a football hold, your arm is required to do the job in any case. Also the generous size of the platform worked for my extremely large chest size which just balooned after baby. The boppy just slipped off and didn't clear my chest.
I especially appreciated that back support in the small of my back and it complemented my dutailier rockers shape perfectly when that extra support for the small of your back comes in handy. The washable cover is fantastic and my first one, lasted, me, and s-i-l through three babies and several years.

I purchased the brest friend and when it arrived it was the wrong item, not as described. I have tried to return it USING YOUR SHIPPING LABEL, and the post office wouldn't take it. I drove to UPS, and they wouldn't take it. I tried DHL, and they wouldn't take it. I sent over three notes to asking for help, and got not one response. Now it is past the time that I can return the stupid thing, and I am now stuck with something that can't/won't be used, and I had to pay for it. I WILL NEVER USE AMAZON for anything but music again.

If you're shopping for a nursing pillow, this is your best bet. Much better than the boppy pillow... It offers great support while holding your baby.

I love this nursing pillow. My DS had a hard time latching properly and I had to reposition him often. We used MBF pillow for about 6 months when he seemed to outgrow the need to be lifted so high and liked a bit more wiggle room. I used the football hold and cradle hold and as DS grew, I did have to twist the pillow sideways to support the football hold. Now at 11 months, I just use a regular bed pillow. My neighbor is borrowing the MBF with her twins and says it is an absolute must, especially for her tiniest baby. I also love the little cloth bag. I kept a a tube of lanolin in mine.

I LOVE this pillow and never nurse my son without it. Most lactation consultants recommend this (the Boppy is not meant for nursing!) as it provides great support and helps baby get the proper latch. The fabric on this one (instead of the cotton) is awesome, so soft for baby. A tip for C-section moms though, it will be uncomfortable until you have healed a bit. I couldn't use mine until about 2 weeks after, it put too much pressure on the incision.
