Great Monitor- only one complaint - frazzledazzle, May 05, 2008

This has been a really great monitor. we have a lot of wireless devices in our house, so we were worried about interference. We haven't gotten any interference and it's awesome that the monitor mutes when there is no sound coming from the baby. When he does cry or make sound, it picks up right away and is really clear. For those that have had battery problems-they probably are putting the parent monitor on the charger before it's completely drained. With rechargables, if you charge it before the battery has "died" it will shorten the life of the battery. The only reason I don't give this monitor five stars is because it does take several hours to recharge once it has drained. Other than that- great monitor and worth the money if you have a lot of wireless devices in your home!

I followed exactly what the manual told on Battery charging but like most of us, got a very poor performance for battery even when unit just turns on less than 25% of time.

Other than the fact I have to carry the power cord around, it is really a good monitor on features, etc.

Although there is no interference at all, I would not buy this product again. It is not worth the price as the battery life is about 2 hours and it needs to stay on the stand charging to use it at all. The volume on this is way too low and there isn't anything you can do about it.

So far this product is great to use. It gives all the info you need to keep an eye on your child and has no interference from other phones. I love the 2 way talk so your child can hear you even if they can't see you right away. I would recommend this product to anyone.

This is a great monitor - even if its very expensive. It has some great features you cant find elsewhere. Here's the good and the bad:

The Good:
1. Overall size of both baby and parent units. Both are pretty small making it easy to move around, carry or whatever. Also nice clean look.
2. Baby unit can be unplugged and placed in any room with out outlet plug (runs on battery's at that point).
3. Crystal clear sound.
4. "Walkie talkie" function. Great for when you need to converse with the other parent. Especially when I nurse and I need something or need to let him know something.
5. Rechargeable batteries easy to replace down the road.
6. The temp readout is nice, although not sure its necessary.

The Bad (or just not that great a feature):
1. The "lights" are not bright nor are their enough to do anything functional. My son's nightlight puts out more light that the monitor does. It's cute but not useful. I'm not sure what the purpose of them are and why they are little "stars". Maybe if it was one light it would be more useful.
2. The music is not great. All the way around.
3. For all the stuff they have on this thing (useful or not) why don't they have a clock on there? I don't think it would have been hard to include a time readout on the monitors. That would have made this product perfect.
