Rating : SILICONE TEETHER JUST LIKE BABY'S BOTTLE NIPPLES - Delta, Apr 27, 2008
Its silicone which, in my opinion is safer than soft plastic with no ingredient list. If silicone is recommended for bottle nipples then I cant see the harm in allowing my baby to use it in this age of recalls. ITs larger than a normal pacifier but thats good. it fills his mouth up and feels different from his bottle nipples and his other silicone pacifiers. This way he wont be chewing on the wrong thing. He slowly getting use to it but will chew on it longer if I hold it while he chews. Its simply not the size of a normal pacifier so he cant count on his mouth holding it in just yet. Hes only 5 months and is drooling a great deal so Im ahead of the game with this teether. Also I have many plastic teethers that usually come with a new bouncer or baby gym but throw them away. I plan to go organic as well with his other teether toys. I hope I can find an organic stuffed toy with no dyes. THen I'd feel comfortable allowing him to chew and suck on it. The soft plastic teethers are scary with all the toxic ingrediants that have recently come to light like philates which is used to soften plastic and is now known to be detrimental to baby. This finding is so new that there is little info online about Philates . I would not have known anything if I had not been watching a news program. So I am staying away from soft plastic generic teethers, no matter how cute they look. I do recommend this silicone teether.Atleast I know the ingredient of what hes chewing on.
Rating : not really working - O. Kazimi, Apr 15, 2008
it's too big, my little one is 7 months and just picks it up and puts it in his mouth for just a sec and that is it, it's just too bulky. waste of our money...
Rating : Love it - CAV, Apr 14, 2008
This is the BEST idea for a teether. It's easy for even a small baby to hold on to. My 3 month old loves this. The nubbies on the raspberry part are perfect for gums. Easy to clean and sanitize too. If you're thinking of not getting it because of the pacifier shape because your baby doesn't like pacifiers... that doesn't matter! Mine doesn't like them either, but loves this teether. I agree with the person who said don't spend 14.99 on it... you can find it cheaper elsewhere.
Rating : Don't spend $14.99 on it!!! - A. Dietzel, Apr 13, 2008
I agree that this is a great teether, and my daughter, 10-months old now, loves it. But I bought it from Meijer for $3.49. It's a great teething aid, and I have three of them. But DO NOT SPEND $14.99 to get it!!!
Rating : Haven't given it to baby yet but..... - Jennifer A. Hunter, Apr 10, 2008
This is a super cute bpa free/toxic free way to soothe teething babies. However, I just purchased it at Meijer for only $3.99. So don't spend $10 and hope the baby likes it. Try finding it around town first.
