I started using this product whenever my child started walking and we were in public so he's very used to it. It's so sturdy that I can even catch him if he stumbles while walking. When the weather is too hot or I'm in a very isolated area with few people but plenty of cars, I use the removable hand tether which I always carry in my purse. It's like getting two products in one. I plan on buying another to always stay in the other car.

We decided to give this a try for our active 20 month old twins. While I liked the minimalistic design, the plastic "hardware" that holds it together is made out of very flimsy plastic. I would NOT trust this to keep my child from running into the street. Don't risk it, look elsewhere. Shame on Safety 1st, they should know better.

We used this at Disneyland. There were so many people! It would be really easy to loose a little one at places like this. It only takes a second to loose a child. When my 1 year old wanted to run around it was nice to know that he couldn't sneak off or a stranger couldn't sneak off with him. Yes we did get funny looks from people but when it comes to the safety of my children, the looks don't bother me at all.

If you child go running every time at the place, park, this is a good idea. You can be more quiet with this harness because he will be near of you... Good material.. confortable.. could be better.. just... he will be like a dog.... sorry....
