This potty is much sturdier than the Primo and Mother's Helper style potty seats w/ steps. It adjusts to fit many styles of toilets, too. However, it did take me about 20-30min to assemble and get it perfectly fitted to my toilet b/c the directions are very vague. I wish it had handles to make it up and down the the blue step since it's quite a drop to the floor from that step. It now comes with a small yellow first step that slides it, but I decided not to use it b/c it slide out very easily and could cause the child to lose their balance. Overall, it seems to be the best potty seat w/steps that I could find. I don't know how it works as a floor potty, though, since I never used it that way.
