Product Description

Bedrail meets new safety regulations by using a unique structure and bracket system that prevents it from slipping away from the bed (the major cause of child entrapment). Worth the time it takes to assemble - B. Schaefer, May 18, 2008

This is a great product. It does require quite a bit of assembly, but I was able to do it by myself in about an hour while my husband was on a business trip.

Fits snugly and feels very secure. We use it on our 2 1/2 yr old's full size bed, but it would work for a twin bed as well. In my opinion, it would be a little short for a queen bed, but it would probabably do the job.

If desired, the rails swing down and rest against the frame of the bed when not in use. In this position you can make the bed up nice or change the sheets with relative ease.

Wish I purchased this sooner - H. Chung, Apr 21, 2008

Great product, easy to put together. I only wish the railing was a little padded as my son has a tendency to want to test it by flinging his legs over it and it is made of METAL not plastic...

Impressed! - Marc L. Kelley, Apr 01, 2008

I was a bit apprehensive prior to purchasing this product as to just how sturdy it would be. Upon assembling the bedrail it was apparent that it was a very tight and well engineered piece. It takes a little muscle and one philips head screwdriver to put it together. Once it is in place it is very secure. It hugs the mattress tightly (and has several adjusting holes to make sure it does), it is very firm in the vertical position, and the fabric is taut around the rail framing. I'm 220 pounds and I don't think I could roll out of bed with these installed.

I highly recommend.

Had to return it! - S. Mo, Feb 21, 2008

This is my second attempt at writing a review on this product. My first review was not published, wondering why? I had a horrible experience with this set of bedrails, and hope this will help you make better decisions.

We purchased this set of bedrail for our son who just moved from his crib to a full-size bed, after reading positive reviews on this product. This did not work for us at all!

- What was delivered to us was clearly a defective rail: although we put together one rail reasonably quickly, the other one would not fit. It eventually took two of us, one holding a power drill, the other holding a large block, to force the metal bar to fit into the pre-drilled hole.

- The assembling took us 2 hours, which is totally rediculous. We spent less than 2 hours putting together a twin-over-full bunk bed together earlier that day, a much larger project compared to this one.

- Then we found out that this set does not go with the full-size bed frame. We tried it on a queen bed, and still did not fit. During the process, we scrached the wood frames, ripped both mattress covers open. Just not worth the effort at all!

We finally had to put this thing back in the box and return it. Just wished we never had bought it! I also don't understand how this could have received such good reviews - the fabric and the structure are both cheap looking, and the mechanism awkward. There are definitely better ways to spend your money!

A great double bedrail - Dilcia Y. Rokusek, Oct 18, 2007

This rail was not too difficult to put together and install, it was a good price, and it's strong. My two-year old likes to get into his bed by grabbing the top of the rail and flinging himself over it. I was afraid he'd break it, but it's still as good as new even after 4 months of him doing that. I also like that the two bars that go under the mattress don't create a bump on the mattress- and we're even using it with a thinner Ikea mattress. I'd definitely recommend this bedrail.
