Lightweight strollers
Lightweight strollers -- also called umbrella strollers – are portable and affordable. They typically weigh less than 12 pounds and can fold to fit in most car trunks and overhead compartments in planes. However, lightweight umbrella strollers are not very durable. The seats are usually not recline-able, so they can only be used by children who can already sit up (children over four months).
Standard strollers
A standard stroller is a single-capacity stroller that comes in different price ranges, styles, colors, and features. It is usually made up of a metal frame, a comfortable handle bar, and a set of wheels. Some models have folding mechanisms and full recline capabilities.
Double, triple, or quadruple strollers
A double, triple, or quadruple stroller can seat more than one child at a time. It is ideal for those with twins, triplets, quadruplets, or several children closer in age. It can come as a tandem (front to back) or side-by-side type.
Jogging strollers
A jogging stroller is an all-terrain stroller. It has larger wheels for easy off-road traveling. However, it may be difficult to assemble and too bulky for use in certain activities.
Travel system strollers
A travel system is a combination of a stroller and car seat – that is, the seat can be detached from the stroller and used as a car seat.
