Copier toner is a fine black powder that creates prints on paper from a photocopier. It consists of electrically charged particles, which cling to the oppositely charged drum head before being transferred to the paper. It is then sealed by heat to create a permanent print. It usually comes in a cylindrical plastic container called a cartridge.
OEM copier toner comes with a newly-bought copier machine. It is the most dependable type of copier toner, but also the most expensive.
Generic copier toner
Generic copier toner is manufactured by after-market manufacturers. It is made like an OEM copier toner but at a more affordable price.
Remanufactured copier toner
Remanufactured copier toner is a generic or OEM copier toner that has been refilled with ink. It is usually tested before selling to ensure quality and efficiency.
Budget: If you are on a budget, choose a remanufactured or a generic copier toner over OEM. It still works like the original although its quality is not always guaranteed.
Refill kit: Choose a copier toner that comes in a refill kit, which allows you to refill your empty cartridge on your own. It may also be cheaper than buying a remanufactured copier toner.
