Drawing software allows users to draw freehand images and automatically convert them into digital format for editing and publishing. It is commonly used with a graphics tablet or digitizer for input, and usually imports from other sources such as the hard drive or removable media. It also provides basic image editing such as resizing and color correction. Some programs can export the file to another program for more advanced editing and optimization.
Bitmap drawing software generated images made up of tiny dots, called pixels. The pixels per square inch (PSI) determines how much detail is captured in the source image. The bitmap image loses detail when it is blown up. This is because individual pixels are spread over a larger area, which creates color gaps.
Vector drawing software
Vector drawing software assigns mathematical formulas to different elements in the image, such as line angles, length, and position. It can be used to redraw an image if the user edits the vector image. It allows infinite sizing without blurring or increasing file size. It simply generates new coordinates to define the entire image.
