Horizontal mice
- Horizontal ergonomic mice have a wide, flat base and a slightly dome-shaped body.
- They are gripped with the palm facing downward and moved by sliding them across a smooth surface.
- The buttons are located on the top, so that the index and middle fingers rest on each button. A scroll wheel may also be included between the buttons or on the side.
Vertical mice
- Vertical mice have a stable base and an upright body measuring about three inches from the base.
