Ethernet printer adapters allow a single printer to serve several computers in a local network. They connect to the printer at one end and to all several computers at the other. They can also connect the computer to a wireless network via Wi-Fi frequencies. They are commonly used in large offices and home networks.
Standard Ethernet have up to four Ethernet ports for connecting computers to the printer. They use standard Ethernet cables with RJ45 connectors on one end and a parallel, serial, or USB connector on the other.
