A laptop sleeve is a lightweight case protects the laptop from impact and surface damage during transport. It is usually made of neoprene, an insulating material used in wetsuits, and a light foam padding. It is designed to be placed inside a bigger bag, making it more convenient than a separate laptop bag.
This type of laptop sleeve closes with a flap, similar to an envelope. The Flap is sealed in place by a Velcro strip. It is easier to retrieve the laptop from the bag, but it is less secure than the Zipper sleeve.
This type of laptop sleeve has a Zipper going around the top and sides. It is more secure than the Flap sleeve, but it has to be removed from the bag before the laptop can be retrieved.
Fit: Choose a laptop sleeve that fits snugly around your laptop to provide the best protection. Ask your dealer if there are sleeves made specifically for your laptop model to ensure the best fit.
Padding: Choose a well-padded laptop sleeve to adequately protect your laptop from impact during transport.
