Micro SD Card : What is it?
A micro SD card is a removable memory card used in small devices such as mobile phones, handheld GPS devices, portable audio players, and expandable USB flash memory drives. It measures 15 mm x 11 mm x 1 mm, which is about the size of a fingernail. It is about one-fourth the size of a Security-Digital (SD) card, making it the smallest data storage memory chip currently available. As of 2006, micro SD cards are available in capacities ranging from 128MB to 2GB.

2 GB micro SD card
This type of micro SD card is ideal for storing large amounts of multimedia files. It can store up to 500 MP3 files.
1 GB micro SD card
This type of micro SD card stores up to 250 MP3 files. It is also ideal for storing multimedia and data files.
512 MB micro SD card
This type of micro SD card has half the storage capacity of a 1 GB card. It can also store multimedia and data files.
256 MB micro SD card
This type of micro SD card has a limited storage capacity, ideal for storing data files.
It can also store a small volume of multimedia, such as photos and videos.
128 MB micro SD card
This type of micro SD card is ideal for storing documents, spreadsheets, and presentations. It can also store a limited number of multimedia files.
Capacity: Look for a micro SD card with a high storage capacity if you store a lot of high-volume files such as music, videos, and photos.
Durability: Choose a micro SD card that can be written and erased at least 100,000 times per block to ensure durability.
