Simply Awful... - TechLarry, Apr 15, 2008

I remember having one of these when they first came out. It was a nice mouse pad, with a nice, grippy back side that stuck to the desk well.

These new one's are horrible!

The back of the pad has NO gripping power whatsoever. When you try to move the mouse on the pad the pad simply slides all over the desk. The grip between the mouse and the pad is far greater than the grip between the pad and the desk.

Stay away. It's quite useless.

Works well, but steer clear! - Nicole Stieger, Mar 03, 2008

The mouse pad does not look as nice as it does on the photo - it is actually rather dull and cheap-looking. I cannot complain about performance as tracking is very good. However, and I can't believe no-one has mentioned this in earlier reviews, it smells absolutely horrid! The smell is hard to describe - like new plastic, but also like musty towels and sweaty gym-shoes! Totally gross....

Slips on tabletop! - N. Gabel, Feb 06, 2008

3M Precise(TM) Optical Mouse Pad, Silver I had to return this recently.. I bought it to use my optical mouse with my glass-topped desk, but unfortunately, the mouse pad slides around when I try to use it. The bottom is not rubberized or non-slip but rather feels a bit greasy and plasticy... Other than that, I like its thinness and texturing.

not like the 3M blue pad - Bert Ulrich, Jan 12, 2008

The surface is fine, it's the backing that's a problem. It's made out of some vinyl material that slides around on my desk. Not good.

Works well, great price - Shari, Dec 06, 2007

I was having problems with my cursor moving randomly around the screen, and I realized that with an optical mouse I would need a more precise mouse pad surface than the old neoprene one I had. This was the best price I found on this type of mouse pad. It's very thin, so I laid it on top of the old mouse pad, which also keeps it in place better since the back doesn't seem to have a lot of grip. The 3M surface is easier to keep clean than the neoprene, and my cursor is no longer "possessed".
