Adobe Audition 2.0 ..... - J. R. Marshall, Mar 06, 2008

I've been using the software for better than a year and love working with it. I am a owner/producer of a on-line recording studio and it works floorless on a day to day basics. I have worked with many audio programs and I think its on top of the rest.
Thanks for a great product Adobe!

Recording software for the audiophile - Walter Kleine, May 22, 2007

I've used Audition since it was CoolEdit, and then Audition 1.0, on the recommendation of a pro audio store where I bought my pro-grade soundcard (a Digital Audio Labs CardDeluxe, which I highly recommend to anyone seeking to make the best sounding recordings, whether copying CDs, recording concert broadcasts (my use), or for actual pro audio applications). I've been your basic demon audiophile since I met a mad radio mechanic in the Air Force in 1951, who thumped his Allied Radio catalog like a tent revival preacher would thump the Bible, preaching the gospel of "It can sound better!"

I have found each upgrade to be a significant improvement over the previous version, specifically in terms of sound quality of recording symphony broadcasts, and Audition 2.0 is no exception.

I don't use the advanced features which a sound engineer would, but I'm glad they're there. If I ever have a need, I know I can meet it.

My one suggestion to Adobe would be that for most users, including people like me, a version equivalent to Photoshop Elements might be a good thing, from a marketing standpoint, since I suspect that most buyers, like me, will not be using all the features, but want to do a good job of recording a sources, editing the file where needed, and doing things like noise reduction, click and pop remover when transferring old LPs to CD, fadeout, and the like.

If I could give the product 10 stars, I would.

Adobe Audition 2.0 Upgrade - Frank Reynolds, Jan 16, 2007

Program is slow to open, but works better and faster than 1.0. It has many features that I'll never use and is definitely worth the cost.
