I upgraded from a 5000+ black edition to this processor and also needed to upgrade my motherboard to accomodate this chip. The board I have does not have the acc feature to try to unlock the fouth core but with three cores it is about 30% faster in gaming.

Great CPU, no problems overclocking this one. The open multiplier on the BE edition lets this one run reliably at 3400mhz without even pushing it. I could not unlock the 4th core, but at this point it is not missed. Extremely happy with the performance.

Ótimo processador. Tenho uma placa de video HD 4870 1GB DDR5 e roda tudo tranquilo sem problema algum.
Recomendo a todos este equipamento.

This is the best processor for the money right now. Blows away the duals and keeps up with the quads. Buy it and be blown away at the performance.

Best Bang for the Buck - Test Drive Nut, Aug 26, 2009

Got this a few weeks back and wish I had purchased 2. Installed on a Gigabyte GA-MA790X-UD4P with the BIOS updated to F5. 4th core unlocked but could not OC pass 3.0Ghz. Changed back ECC to normal and OC'd to 3.6Ghz with small bump in Vcore votage to 1.42 so stable after 1 hr prime95. Games run faster with the higher clock speed vs the extra core so left it this way. Just noted that Amazon does not sell this directly anymore so the shipping cost from TigerD kills the value. Got this for $109 from Amazon and am kicking my self for not getting 2 since the shipping was free back then.
