The AlterPath ACS family of Advanced Console Servers provides IT professionals with additional ways to remotely access managed networks from anywhere in the world. The AlterPath ACS offers a feature set similar to that of the Cyclades-TS line of console servers, plus advanced hardware features to meet the requirements of even the most demanding applications. PCMCIA slots allow for enhanced functionality with support for many interface cards, such as Ethernet, modem (V.90, GSM and ISDN) and wireless LAN. The AlterPath ACS' dual entry redundant power supply provides extra reliability to the console server, ensuring availability during critical times.Security features, such as SSH v2 (Secure Shell), RADIUS authentication, IP filtering, and user access lists per port, allow data center managers and system administrators to remotely manage the network and servers with greater control and peace of mind. Console management features, such as data buffering, direct access methods to the serial ports (such as TCP port and server name) and event notification, improve monitoring capabilities, allowing faster problem solving and higher network uptime.
