Rating : This thing was pretty good, until the glue went bad - Tonya Payne, Jan 12, 2008
I've had two of these over the past seven years. I lost the first one in a move, and went to buy another one because I really liked the first one. The second one was okay, until the glue broke down on the pad and the pad part of it started to buckle after about six months of use. It's difficult to roll a mouse across a lumpy surface.
The wrist rest part of it is great, and so rather than spend money on another pad, I just wound up cutting off the pad part and keeping just the wrist rest part, and using my optical mouse on the desk surface itself.
Unlike other reviewers, I did not have a problem using my Microsoft Optical mouse (which is almost ten years old) on the pad. I also did not have any smell upon first getting the pad.
I might have just gotten a dud with this one, as the first one I had was really good, so I can't tell you not to buy this mouse pad. I recommend the wrist rest thoroughly, and the company does sell those by individually.
Rating : Comfortable Mouse Pad - See Reverse, Dec 29, 2007
This mouse pad is a good size for normally sized mice and normally sized people. The wrist pad is firmer than many of the gel pads which I am familiar with. The mouse pad itself has a hard plastic surface which has held up well after 6 months of constant use. The pad does become dusty or dirty living in my office, but it is easy to clean. This might not be the ideal option for those affected by carpal tunnel syndrome, but it makes mousing more comfortable than with other mouse pad/wrist rest products I have used.
Rating : Cold Wrist Support - Jennifer Hunter, Oct 24, 2007
It works very well and is comfortable, but the wrist support is a plastic covered gel that seems like it is always cold. I would have preferred a cloth covered wrist support.
Rating : Great Wristrest - J. A. Eastman, Aug 16, 2007
I got this new mouse pad/wrist rest when I got my new trackball mouse. I had read the reviews and I was impressed by the reviews that said the gel did not compress like the foam types.
So far, my expectations have been met. The wrist rest is comfortable and it does not compress like my old foam one did.
Being as I use a trackball, I did have one problem. My trackball mouse slid all over the pad when I pressed a button. I would expect that to be good news for people who use the traditional roll around type of mouse.
My solution was to buy a set of those round non-slip jar openers for the kitchen. One of them under my mouse completely solved the slipping problem.
I like this mouse pad/wrist rest so much that I bought a gel pad wrist rest for my keyboard. They are both great!
Rating : Best mouse pad I have ever used - M. D. Roach, Jun 03, 2007
I felt the need to write a review after the comments of others saying such things as it doesn't work with my optical mouse, and its to small. First off I have used this with several mice moth optical and otherwise from a two dollar useless mouse at work to $90 logitech mice, they all work fine. As to the comments about it being to small it is the same size as almost every other mouse pad on the market, perhaps you need to learn to use a mouse and adjust the sensitivity so you don't need to pick it up 12 times to get across a screen. The pad size is fine I navigate a 17" at work, a 21" wide at home and a dual 30" in a command center it works fine at all the locations. This is also the only mousepad that has gel that holds up, doesn't feel slimy or covered in cheap neoprene and best of all doesn't move from where you place it. The pad accuracy is fine when used for gaming and for creating basic photo edits and web graphics.
