Works great. - DLC, Jun 06, 2008

I have Vista and once the computer loads the Genius it works better than I expected. If I was to list any complaints it would be the time it takes for my computer takes to recignize it when I plug it in. It's a minor problem and probably my computer more than the tablet itself. It works well with every program I have. For graphics, I use Photoshop Elements and it reacts quickly.

Durability goes a long way. - S. Tucker, May 25, 2008

For the price it's great.

The only issue I have with it is the horrible design of the cover. It's VERY flimsy and soft. You will leave indentations as you draw.

It also worries me that the pen comes with a replacement tip and a little tool for removing them.

They should use more durable materials for these parts.

Keep looking - this isn't worth the price - T. C. Raynor, May 22, 2008

I purchased this tablet, but it is now on its way back to Amazon for a refund. Perhaps I received a defective unit, but the documentation gave very little information written in broken English, and did not provide technical support contacts. The website printed on the product was a company that had no connection to the product - an apparent misprint giving the wrong company's technical support contacts. The 6" x 10" "working area" was actually a 4" square that you had to find the borders of by trial and error - drawing outside of that small box provided random, unpredictable results. I purchased a Bamboo Fun small tablet Bamboo Fun (Small) Black Tablet with Pen, Mouse & Graphics Software and it hooked right up and worked reliably.

Not bad for the money - Aldo R. Perez, Apr 16, 2008

The Genius G-PEN F610 is a decent tablet.

Large area surface, good for larger monitors.

light, nice surface but can scratch a little too easy.

The programable buttons are not that great as you need the pen to press them. If the tablet had actual buttons you could press them (like for ALT or CTR keys) and keep on working and save lots of time but you can't do that with this tablet.

The tablet is less sensitive than the Bamboo or Graphite line of tablets and don't even think to compares it to an Intuos. The pen feels cheap and doesn't come with an eraser. You have to put too much preasure to draw making it hard to draw soft thin lines.

So where does this tablet stand? It is an inexpensive alternative for a true begginer. It worked on several Windows XP computers with no issues. Drivers were decent, easy to install. Made it worked with Artrage, Photoshop and Painter.

I find the tablet an excellent entry level tablet for the money. If you are a total beginner and never had a tablet before this is not a bad start. I found the tablet better for image edeting (Photoshop) than for painting or drawing. If you have used other tablets or have very high expectations this tablet will only frustrate you.

The software is a little weak, only Ulead Photoimpact 12 LE but is better than nothing. Get the free version of Artrage and you will get more from this tablet.

Compared to what you will pay for other tablets this tablet is a good deal.

Great product - Luis Alberto Garcia Alonso, Apr 09, 2008

The product arrived much earlier than expected, which is great news!

The tablet and pen both work perfectly smooth. I am not into freehand painting, just done a couple of sketches, and looked good enough. As good as they would look with a pencil :)

With photoshop, the improvement is just great! For me it is much more efficient than the mouse. After a very short learning curve you are ready to take full advantage of the dinamics part of the tools, and you will be working faster and better with photoshop.

I have read some concerns about the tip wearing out... I don't have any issues with that so far. I have been retouching around 200 photografies with the tablet, and so far so good.

I really recomend it.

It is not a high end model, but it is great for photo-retouching and doing some sketches.

With windows vista you have also the full power of the tablet input method, and you can write anywhere with writing-recognition instantly available.

I love it!
