Rating : Works perfectly on Macintosh - Generosa Rader, Aug 05, 2008
This Smart Media Reader/Writer works perfectly on Mac running OS 10.4.11. Simply plug Hawking Smart Media Reader/Writer's USB cable to Mac USB port, insert Samsung 128 MB SmartMedia card onto Reader/Writer, transfer my ebook files to card. I then inserted the Smart Media card into my eBookwise 1150 ebook reader and proceeded to read my ebooks. Absolutely no problems.
Rating : Awesome! - kgreg, May 21, 2008
Thank goodness I found this. I had an old digital camera and lost the software and cables to it. Couldn't find any readers except this one to download the pics still on the old card.
Rating : Great on Win2K - dougcl, Jan 18, 2008
Expecting trouble with these devices, I bought two. The Olympus MAUSB-10 and this one. The installer for the Olympus driver would flat not work. I tried the latest version of the drivers, older versions of the drivers, I tried upgrading Install Shield. I went to the Install Shield site and followed many dead ends. Next day this one showed up. I plugged it in and Win2K recognized it and no driver installation required. My transfer requirements are light though with a 128MB max. Seems fast enough for me. By the way, I've seen a couple of different images on the web for this device. The picture here is accurate. It's a small device but the connections are durable.
