Great webcam, especially for the price - Speedy, Nov 11, 2009

When I purchased this I was looking for a good webcam that my gf could use in our apartment to have webcam chats on Skype with me when I was away on business. I wasn't looking for anything fancy, but wanted decent picture quality, and I didn't want to pay a lot since I was only using it to chat on Skype.

The three things I liked most about this camera were the glass lens, the lights around the lens, and the relatively cheap price (about $25 when I got it). The software that came with it is cool, although you dont have to use it if you don't want to, but it allows you to modify the color of the image, change to b&w, and toggle the lights (auto, on, off).

The lights btw are helpful, and can turn on automatically when the image is dark. My gf likes this feature since the corner of the room where my computer is isn't the brightest spot. They are not blinding by any means.

Overall, the picture quality is good, sound is good, and I couldn't be much happier with it. My only complaint (hence the 4/5 stars) is that the way the camera is attached on the clip it is limited in movement. You cannot for instance clip this onto the side of your monitor and flip the camera 90 degrees to the one side. I wanted the camera approx at mid screen height so I could basically have the camera at the level of where the person looking at the person on the screen would be looking... Oh well. The clip is of good quality and design other than that. I have it clipped onto the top of my monitor and it stays just fine.

I am an Electrical Engineer and have always managed to fix my computer .... however; I suggest you go with a company that supports its products. The camera worked fine and then suddenly quit working. I reloaded the software and have tried a number of checks ... but it does not run and there appears to be some interference with the Windows Defender or Anti-virus ... but there is no hint where. I have probably spent 10 hours reinstalling and trying to get it to work.

The company's web site is terrible and the support function is almost non-existant. It is a nice little camera ... when it did work ... but suggest you steer clear.

Mine was used, but Like New. It worked perfectly, even the little mic that came with it. I'm very happy with it, Love it! It fits nicely on my laptop, never falls off. The LCD lights come on when they are supposed to, or you can shut them off if you want. The picture quality is amazingly clear. I didn't even notice a delay when speaking or seeing my friend/family. The set up was easy as mac and cheese, literally took 2 minutes to set up. I love it, good price for such a quality webcam. (^_^)

this is a neat little web cam , price was great. i give one star because
i can't use it.software loads & installs , camera is recognized by my
puter but when i try too start the camera program it fails too find the
camera.the company tech. people sent some tricks too try but none of them
worked.camera worked on a different puter, but not mine.i do have another
web cam installed on my puter, a logitech pro 4000.
by the time i got thru trying out suggestions from the tech folks, return
time had expired so i have too eat it.

Great product. Fantastic price. Works much better than any of my friends much more expensive cameras. I already bought three. Built-in microphone is awesome.
