I just purchased this camera, and it's been great so far. I am using a Mac, so nothing on the CD works, which is a shame, because it looks like it has really cool stuff on there. You seriously plug it in, and it just works. Perfect for Skype, MSN, etc. Takes pretty nice still pictures too, if you don't have a digital camera. Also, it works well even without optimal lighting conditions. LOVE IT!

I had several employees test this webcam and compare and contrast it to a couple of Microsoft products. The HP product won hands down and you can't beat the price, especially for an order of 100!

hp Deluxe Webcam KQ246AA... Do not buy this webcam if you are running Windows 7. The box says that it is Windows 7 32 bit and 64 bit compatible, but it is not. I was on the phone with India for an hour and they couldn't get the thing to work. I am returning it tomorrow. It is so frustrating. HP usually makes good products, but not this one.

This works great on my mac mini with Snow Leopard. Just plug and it works with no pain.
This has great video and audio quality on ichat and skype.
Photobooth also works well with this web cam.

This is the best web cam for mac under $20 so far.

Mic may not work for Windows 7 64 bit ? - J. He, Nov 14, 2009

I bought it and installed it to my new computer with Windows 7 64 bit, the picture is good, but the mic doesn't work. So I will return it to Amazon.
