Rating : Fast and cool and quiet - Average Joe, Oct 27, 2009
This processor performs extremely well on all banchmark tests for x86 and x64 busniess and game software for a great price. The Windows Experience Index Processor Subscore is 5.9, compared with 5.1 for a Core 2 Duo 2.3 GHz processor. The processor runs cool (35 deg. C) and the fan is completely silent.
Rating : No Virtualization - Charles S. Shiflett, Oct 21, 2009
Some revisions of the Q8200 & Q8300 lack the intel VT extension. Without this extension, any attempt at Virtualization will fail. Even if you think you don't care about Virtualization, you should still strongly consider the q9xxx series which have the intel VT extension.
Rating : very good - Khin H. Tay, Mar 05, 2009
I received Q8200 earlyer. it's in sealed box with fan. it's work perfect with my mother board (intelDG31PR)I bouth the part from portertech.com they sent me used parts when I returned the parts they charged me 15% restocking fee.it's better buy from amazon.com.
Rating : Also is a quad core - Leandro Silva, Mar 03, 2009
This processor is the best way for save money, fast and reliable but if you have money, buy a Q9400. It's much more than this.
Rating : Intel Core 2 Quad Q8200 retail processor - Cory Dzbinski, Feb 27, 2009
Got one of these from Fry's in a MB/CPU combo deal. The processor is smoking fast with software that takes advantage of all 4 cores efficiently. Examples would be Photoshop, Vegas, Winrar, Lightwave, Nero etc. I got it specifically for crunching high definition video in Sony Vegas and editing high res graphics in Photoshop. The processor really makes short work of previously long processing tasks.
