JBL On Air Control 2.4G wireless speaker system combines high-performance sound quality with wireless-installation convenience. The unit includes a pair of wall-mountable loudspeakers that incorporate a wireless transceiver and amplifier, a transmitter/receiver module, and a remote control. The On Air Control 2.4G utilizes the 2.4GHz frequency range for interference-free transmission, and the transmitter/receiver module can be used with up to two pairs of JBL On Air speakers. Easy set up and good quality sound - Kelly, Oct 13, 2009

We needed a solution for an adjacent room in our church for mothers who needed to nurse or otherwise care for their small children during the worship service time.
We could have run a long series of cords to this room, but that would've required a lift, many hours, etc. With these wireless speakers we simply ran a signal from the sound board into the transmitter and in the room more than 75 feet away we had clear good quality sound.
The only draw back is that the speakers do need a power source. We installed them in the top corners of the room and had an electrician come and run power behind the wall where they are mounted so there are no exposed wires.
Nevertheless, I highly recommend these speakers for their ease of set up and very good quality of sound.

Setting Up - Difficult - reviewer1, Oct 05, 2009

Eventually, after many sound time-outs, I tried turning up the sound-level output to 7/10 from my MAC and the time-outs have gone away. This was after much trial and error and frustration.

Once I got it right - the system seems to work fine.

i opened the box and there were more wires and cables than i knew what to do with! the directions were very very poor and i had a difficult time knowing how to set it up. i did finally figure it out. the transmitter has to be plugged in (fine). the speakers have to be plugged in (okay...) and to get both speakers to play they have to be connected by speaker wire (not okay). didn't meet my needs to be able to move one to one room and one to another room. the sound was great but not a wireless product by my definition. returned them.

Definitely would recommend these speakers. Great sound for the wattage and you can use 2 sets with one transmitter...put 4 speakers around the house if you like. Although not entirely wireless, you do get to eliminate one wire per set, and can use multiple sources of sound if you want. All in all, a good buy!!

I use this system on my patio next to the pool area and am very impressed with the separation, frequency response and overall sound quality. For small speakers, they have good bass and the highs are wonderful. Set-up was easy.

These are not considered outdoor speakers, but if not mounted, they are very portable. You only need a 110V outlet, and be within range of the transmitter.(multiple walls could be a problem) Also, since they are not weatherproof they cannot be left out in the elements.

The remote control which is the only way to adjust the volume, has a very limited range of about 12'....I found that to be it's only major fault.

We live in the country so I do not experience any interference from neighbor's routers or phones.

I LOVE the fact that these "wireless" speakers require 110V power and transmit signals to the speakers from it's receiver through wire. They work efficiently when you turn them on, and still sound great many hours later. No signal fade from weak batteries and no batteries to charge and eventually replace at big $$$. I think I'll buy a subwoofer for this system with the money I'll save on batteries.

I recommend the JBL 24.G system to anyone who wants quality sound remotely from their main system, but doesn't want the expense or hassle of drilling holes and stringing speaker wire through the house.
