Good performance, easy to use, UVC-compliant, plug and play setup. Can do 640x480 at 30 fps in Guvcview, higher resolution at lower fps. Works well with Skype, Ekiga and other programs. Colors and light adjustments are good. The microphone performs well, though I'm using an old, cheap microphone that performs equally. This web cam sits well on monitors of different thicknesses and also sits well on a desk. It has a long USB cable and you can swivel the camera on the vertical and horizontal axes to adjust the picture angle. A green light turns on when the cam is actively receiving video. The manual "eyelid" is a nice extra feature. This cam is also small, light and attractive.

The camera works fine with the UVC drivers (what windows already has). When I installed the included software, the camera ran very slowly (1 frame every 30 seconds) and eventually caused the computer to crash (BSOD). This was with Windows XP. This camera works with the Linux UVC drivers.

I bought the Quickcam based on my Son's recommendation, so we could keep in touch better. The installation was easy, the picture and sound worked great without any adjustment. The other items such as special effects are easy to use. I would recommend this product to others.

When my first webcam stopped working, I didn't want to spend a lot to replace it, and saw good reviews on this one. Works great, no problems so far. I don't know how a higher priced webcam can be any better.

The price was good, it came quickly, and it works great. It was the missing link so my wife and I can talk with and see our son who is leaving for Iraq. $50 well spent!
