This mouse is awesome if you're a mac user. It's bluetooth, and it has a side scrolling wheel. It looks perfect with my mac mini. It's a little small for a man's hand, but not so small that it's bothersome. Battery life seems really good, although I use rechargables.
Rating : Works like a charm - N. Solberg, May 02, 2008
My Apple Mighty Mouse finally died after a couple of years, and it was never my favorite, but more importantly, it was way overpriced. After reading some reviews I got the white Logitech V470 bluetooth mouse cheaply from Amazon. It's hands down much nicer and no software is needed -- it's plug-n-play with Mac OS X. The battery life is excellent even if you don't switch it off manually and I have yet to loose the bluetooth connection -- my Apple's Bluetooth Might Mouse ate batteries for lunch and lost its connection quite often.
My only minor quip is that there is 5-8 second delay for the mouse to respond after waking my iMac from sleep. Only a minor issue, as it never looses its connection otherwise.
Rating : Works great!! - H. Nayak, May 02, 2008
The mouse was ready to be used in a few mins once the bluetooth device pairing was done. But passkey cannot be used for the pairing. Though the mouse looks so small it adjusts well to the palms shape. For my huge hand, I found it uncomfortable for the first few days, but now it seems to be good. When you power off and power on, it gets connects in a second. Also works well on any surface. I got this one in a good deal and the bluetooth is the way to go wireless which does not require the protruding USB receiver like other wireless mouses. Overall a great mouse for the price.
Rating : Happy so far - shadrach, Apr 30, 2008
I ordered this recently to replace my broken Logitech V270 mouse. I was a little concerned at going with a different model as I knew the V270 worked with my current Dell D820 Latitide. but I'm glad I went with this mouse, it's much better than the V270. My old mouse would routinely stop working and it either required a reconnect, a reconfiguration in the bluetooth manager, or some other screwing around with. It seemed to be a different resolution each time. I haven't had any problems at all with the new V470, and I like the fell of it even better.
Basically if you are on the fence between the V270 and the V470, get this one; seems improved in all categories, except the cheap carrying case (hence the 4 stars), but I'm reusing the nice one from my old V270 :)
Rating : Forget the Mighty Mouse - Greg, Apr 28, 2008
This mouse outperforms the Mighty Mouse, and it is almost half the price. It works every time, has a familiar two-button feel, and the tilt/scroll-wheel allows 360 scrolling better than the flimsy ball on the mighty mouse. Not to mention it looks great with a macbook.
