Great! The Microsoft 4000 mouse was suggested by my son after he purchased the same model, and I have been totally pleased with the product. This model has some helpful features for maneuvering around the desktop more quickly and more efficiently.

This mouse lasted all of about 2 months before it finally stopped working altogether. The range on this mouse is abysmal, three feet is about as far as it gets. If the distance of the mouse from the receiver exceeds this threshold, both the mouse and the receiver have to be reset in order for it to start working again.

The battery compartment on the mouse is also a source of headaches. It would appear that if you pick up the mouse, the mouse loses power and doesn't come back on. This is due to the metal contacts inside of the battery compartment moving out of alignment. Fixing this involves taking out the battery slide thing and bending the contact so that it completes a circuit with the rest of the mouse.

Nothing much to say but I don't know how anyone can have a problem with this mouse. Plug in the USB and it words great. Batteries last forever. Precision is very good. Nothing else to say. Great buy.
