Great switch - HookEmHorns, Nov 11, 2009

Not too much to say about these units other than they work really well. Very affordable and well built - the only switch I buy when I need these for clients.

Netgear FS105 Switch - Joseph W. Richardson, Nov 04, 2009

The switch shipped and arrived quickly. I'm using it as a hub, even though it is a switch, with a DSL connection in, and multiple ethernet connections out. One of them goes into my Netgear firewall/router appliance. All machines behind the firewall/router work just as well as they did before I installed the switch between the DSL modem and the router. Installation was a piece of cake. The firmware seems to work as advertised.

this is useless - w08833, Oct 07, 2009

I purchased this hub because I wanted to connect a Roku via Ethernet now and didn't want to buy a router until the new N spec is fully implemented.

I stupidly did not understand that I couldn't connect the hub directly to a cable modem. I need a router first, and since routers typically have multiple outputs who needs this piece of junk?

Solid product - David Michel, Oct 01, 2009

Netgear has a good reputation and history of making quality products and this is no exception. It is easy to see that they did not sacrifice quality at the cost of making a low price product. It is a simple low end switch, so don't look for features that is not what it was designed for and where the cost savings comes from.

Netgear FS105NA Switch 10/100 - Alberta L. Schumacher, Sep 24, 2009

I have this switch connected to our home network which was hard wired via an electrician throughout our house. I have an ethernet plug in my office and this is where I connected the switch. A Netgear technician told me that it should be plugged into the first port on the switch which I did. Then I connected my computer and a powerline adapter to the switch. I connected the other powerline adapter into an electrical outlet across the room and also to my dedicated photo printer all-in-one. The computer has a steady 100 mb/s connection to the network as does the printer. I love that switch and the powerline adapters because they permitted me to get my dedicated all-in-one photo printer, scanner, copier off my desk.
