Rating : PNY replacement warranty - Kevin Glaser, Oct 18, 2009
Reputable name brand, excellent service and support months after the sale. I had a PNY video card fail and they shipped me a new one under warranty. I had a very positive experience with the PNY product and would buy again. After receiving my replacement I thought the least I could do is write a good review for this company.
Rating : Great replacement to integrated graphics for the price! - Christopher Foundas, Oct 16, 2009
My desktop was getting on in years, and so rather than purchase a new one I decided to make some low-cost upgrades. Among them, I upgraded the RAM from 512MB to 2.5GB (thank you Crucial!) for around $[...] and when I spotted this on clearance at the local Staples for $[...] I figured it couldn't hurt. The computer had a very dated Intel graphics card, and while it technically could play DVDs and most low-end video games, I knew it would be functionally obsolete before long without some kind of improvements.
I installed the newest version of the drivers from Nvidia, and threw the card in. The computer recognized it immediately, and I was instantly blown away by how crisper the desktop image looked. I knew it had been slightly fuzzy, since my HP Pavilion laptop had a Nvidia GPU and there was a noticeable difference between them. Seeing that level of clarify on my 20" monitor really let me know I had done the right thing.
Just so it gets said, I'm not much of a gamer. I might play GuildWars ever now and then, but thats about it. Still, even for that its a huge improvement over its predecessor, loading things much more quickly, and displaying them at a much higher quality than was capable before.
Rating : Worked well for a while - SuperSport, Aug 23, 2009
This card worked well for quite a while, but eventually, the fan failed which caused the board to overheat and die. I keep my computer VERY clean, so dirt should not have been the culprit. I clean it regularly with compressed air.
I replaced it with a fanless ATI HD4350 and have not looked back. My new card works much better, and was cheaper.
Rating : Best bang for the buck! - Rolando Martinez, May 03, 2009
If you are looking for a budget video card, this is it. Graphics rocks!. Just take in account the games you are planning to play. The recent ones like Crysis or Far Cry 2 runs on low settings, they demand a lot of graphic power, but for the older ones like Fear, CoH, IL2, BIA, MOHA and others the graphics are great!.
And check to have a PCI-e slot on your motherboard!
Rating : fits nicely in supersmall case, speeeeedy delivery, runs as expected - Gregory Hebert, Jan 12, 2009
Since my case was small I had to use modded ide cables for better ventilation, but this card packs a punch for its size
