The Samsung 19" LCD display is a very good display and value. Samsung has been rated #1 in LCD TV so I decided to stay with them for computer monitor.

the details colour and and contrast on this monitor is a beauty, the finish also. the only thing is the touch sens controls, it's a plus and a minus, because you don't see it all the see is 19 inches of screen, with a gloss black frame, and one blue led, real stylish

This monitor has been excellent. The size, the richness of color and clarity is amazing. It arrived rapidly and was packaged well. Set up was a breeze too.

The picture quality through DVI is pretty good. I had to do a little work to get it to match the color/contrast of the display on the MacBook Pro I have it attached to. Also, the buttons on the front can be a pain to use, as they're touch-sensitive but aren't backlit, so there's nothing to even feel around for.

The sad surprise was the life of the display. After two weeks of use, the display would suddenly turn black on me with no warning. Power would remain on, and after cycling power the display would come back. This would happen every 30 seconds sometimes, and every 10 minutes others. My display is currently on its way to Samsung for service, and I'm told that it's going to take the better part of a month to ship it there/get it back. From looking at some other reviews, other people have had the same results. I've always had great luck with Samsung products, so this is an unhappy exception to that rule.

This display is a good deal for those who don't want to spend a lot of money on stuff like monitors but at the same time want to get something descent. My say buy it.
