SmartDraw 2007 was not what I expected. The description of the product was not specific and this version of SmartDraw did not have all of the applications I wanted. I have sent 2 messages to the seller with no response. I am quite disappointed and would like a full refund.

Smart Draw is awesome! Talk about easy to use. I showed my daughter how to use the program when she described a math project she had to do for high school. She cranked out an awesome diagram spanning four pages in no time. She became proficient in short order. I'll give you 3 guesses what grade she got on her project and the first two don't count. No one in her entire school had anything close to her project either. Rock on Smart Draw. I can't wait to see the 2008 model.

I purchased this software for assistance in a presentation that was very important. At the time, because of the paramount importance of the presentation it was a small price to pay.

Now, I use it almost 100% of the times instead of Visio. It is easy to use, intuitive, creates a professional product and separates your presentations from the masses.

If you have experienced SmartDraw, you will not want to use Visio ever again.

I've used SmartDraw for 3 versions, and I always upgrade. The IT guys tried to give me Visio, but it's too complicated. The latest version, 2008, has great new stuff and fixed some problems. All I can say is that my presentations blow away anything the exec team has seen.

They added the 'ribbon' interface just like Office 2007. It takes some getting used to, but once you learn where every command is, it is much better. If you're new to SmartDraw, then it will just be that much easier to start using.

Version 2008 has charts that let you do a lot more than Excel. You can put multiple charts in a graphic, with text, arrows, images, whatever, before exporting to PowerPoint. Much easier to make a good slide rather than klunky excel-powerpoint stuff.

Beware, impossible to get trial program off your PC - M. Perini, Aug 25, 2007

I downloaded the trial program and installed it. Decided it wasn't for me, and then tried to uninstall. Windows uninstall didn't recognize Smartdraw, and simply deleting the program folder won't work because something keeps blocking the delete function and giving me a message the deleting requires system admin permission (and I am signed on to the PC as system admin).

Don't download the trial version unless you want it on your PC forever.
