  • Fast, Convenient Color Printing : Sony's compact DPP-F90 Picture Station photo printer produces lab-quality color prints quickly and easily at home, office, even while traveling.
  • High Speed, Low Cost : With new high-speed Bionz image processing technology, Picture Station printers can create full-sized 4" x 6" prints in about 45 seconds1 from flash media cards or in about 56 seconds from a direct PictBridge connection4 to a Sony Cyber-shot camera.
  • Advanced Dye Sublimation Process : The Sony dye sublimation method can print 256 shades for each of three dye colors--cyan, magenta and yellow. That adds up to 16.7 million distinct colors for each Pixel, creating spectacularly vivid prints with smooth color gradations that look more natural.
  • On-Screen Image Preview : The Sony DPP-FP90 Picture Station printer features a free-angle 3.6"3 Clear Photo LCD Screen (230k Pixels) that let you preview images before you print.
  • One-Button Auto Touch-Up Control : As easily as touching a button, your Picture Station printer can save a flawed shot by helping to reduce red-eye effect, improve exposure and sharpen focus for best results when you print.

  • Index Print for Quick Reference : Just as professional photographs create contact sheets to determine which photos to print, your Picture Station printer lets you make an Index Print of Thumbnail images direct from your memory card -- then quickly review the images with family and friends before making the photo prints you want.
  • ID Print Feature : By adjusting simple height and width settings, you can reproduce multiple ID photos in full color on postcard-sized paper -- no need to depend on Internet services, photo labs or print shops.
  • Long-Lasting SuperCoat2 Durability : ony Picture Station printers fuse a durable protective laminate coating to each print, protecting the surface from fingerprints, moisture and color fading so your color photos can remain bright and beautiful, year after year.
  • Convenient PictBridge Printing : Connect a PictBridge compatible camera4 to your Sony Picture Station printer and make prints using your built-in LCD Screen to preview pictures -- saving the time it would take to turn on a computer, download images from a Digital camera, and transfer files to a printer.
  • Portable Design with Carrying Handle : Compact, lightweight Picture Station photo printers make handy traveling companions, so you can produce lab-quality prints wherever you take your Sony Cyber-shot camera -- even on vacation or when visiting friends and relatives.

You can make borderless 4" x 6", multi-image Index prints or Photo ID prints--with a large built-in LCD screen to view images before you print and one-button Auto Touch-Up that helps to minimize red-eye, correct exposure and improve focus.

Good.....But not THAT good! - Jeffrey L. Wills, May 13, 2008

If your not that particular about your images, this printer may do you just fine. This has been the only Sony product that I've had some disappointment with. It seems the faster print speed comes with the sacrifice of print quality. The FP-90 prints no where close to the quality of the older upright Sony DPP-EX5. Thanks to short time periods of ANY new product or it's accessories to be available in the store off the shelf, such as the print pack for the DPP-EX5, I took a chance on the FP-90. For everday photos the FP-90 may suit you just fine. I use 6 different printers for different applications for images on my website. After printing the second image of the Space Shuttle, which has a lot of sky in it,....I noticed banding in the image made by the FP-90. For ANY of my images, this is not acceptable. The new print roll (paper) for the FP-90 seems a little "cheesy" as compared to the older paper for the EX-5. From a photographer's point of view, find some other Dye-Sub for your application, for the less picky, this printer should suit you just fine. To see the Space Shuttle images that I noticed the "banding" in, go to my website [...] and look for the Space Shuttle page. Although you will not see the "banding" in the images you will view on your screen (because their digital files and not printed images), you can see how most Shuttle images have "sky" in them. The sky, because of it being an almost continuous tone, is where this banding is most likely to show itself. So for this particular application where I would of liked to use Dye-Sublimation.... well, sorry Sony....not this time!

I love it! - S. Hessert, Jan 19, 2008

I Love the Sony picture station photo printer. The prints come out beautiful. They look like they were proccessed professionally. The compact size is great and I love that I can take it with me and it doesn't have to be hooked up to my computer.

Not Mac Compatible - J. Anthony, Dec 22, 2007

Shame on Sony for not making this software Mac Compatible. I purchased this product elsewhere and before I even got out of the store, we realized that the software can't be used with Macs. When I called Sony, they said that I could use the memory cards to print, but I would be unable to print from my Mac. Before leaving, I returned it and purchased the Canon PIXMA 320 which is working wonderfully (for all you Mac users) with my computer. You can find this printer on Amazon and unfortunately for me, is a little cheaper than where I purchased it!

FABULOUS! AMAZING! WONDERFUL! - Heidi J. Readler, Dec 18, 2007

I JUST RECEIVED THIS, READ THE QUICK SET-UP DIRECTIONS AND WAS ABLE TO PRINT MY CHRISTMAS PHOTOS FOR ALL OF MY CHRISTMAS CARDS IN LESS THAN 5 MINUTES. THESE PICTURES ARE BETTER THAN ANY PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPER I HAVE EVER TAKEN MY PICTURES TOO. I CAN'T SAY ENOUGH ABOUT IT. YOU CAN EDIT RIGHT FROM THE SCREEN. IT SENSES WHEN IT IS GETTING TOO HOT AND COOLS DOWN ON ITS OWN. THIS LASTS FOR ABOUT 15 SECONDS AT THE MOST. I LOVE THIS PRINTER. THANK YOU SONY!!!!

Sony DPP-FP90 - M. Jablonski, Nov 16, 2007

I purchased one of these printers as a compliment to my Sony Cyber-Shot DSC-W80. To my surprise and delight the photos that this unit generates are equal to or superior to those I order from the corner drug store. I was REALLY impressed by the quickness of and the quality that it produces. Even more so, the prints are waterproof as the unit applies a laminated surface on the finished photo.
I have, up to now been disappointed with ink jet printers and glossy paper results for photos but with this Sony DPP-FP90, those days are gone! If you're looking for a photo printer and you own a Sony cyber-Shot camera, look no further! GET THIS PRINTER! I chose to get the 90 because of the larger LCD screen and I'm kinda glad I did. It makes a world of difference when wading through pictures on a memory stick.
