Rating : Happy with this monitor - Kaye Bangsund, Jan 21, 2008
The monitor is clear and I am happy with it all around. Speakers have very good sound as well. Good Value for the $$$.
Rating : Great resolution and value for the average user - Bill Hayes, Sep 22, 2007
I did a lot of research on 19 inch LCD monitors and found that this model was a huge bang for the buck. I would consider myself an average user and was looking for a 19 inch LCD that delivered above average quality but more importantly I was looking for a good deal as I configured my new PC to have the ability to work with two side-by-side monitors. As a result, I have purchased dual SOYO DYLM1986 monitors and I am very pleased with the image quality. If I had to identify some cons I would point out that the out of the box model only comes with an analog video cable and does not include DVI cables. Purchasing these cables will be an additional expense if you want to take advantage of the higher resolution capabilities of the monitor. Friends of mine who have purchased slightly more expensive 19 inch LCD's have had the DVI cables included. Lastly, the way that the video cables connect to the back of the monitor is tricky, due to the position of the ports in relation to the stand; it's best to connect the cables first, then attach the monitor to the stand.
In closing, I have no complaints at all with the video quality and at the time of purchase I found the Soyo to be one of the least expensive DVI capable 19 inch LCD monitors out there.
