A helmet intercom is a motorcycle communication device used for talking to other motorcycle riders when riding as a group. It also allows the motorcycle rider to communicate with his passenger without looking back or talking loudly. It makes communication while riding possible, as the voice can easily get carried away by the wind or muffled by the helmet and traffic noise. A helmet intercom can be built directly into the helmet or attached to it. It is consists of an ear piece for listening, a mouth piece for talking, and a handle bar switch for controlling the volume and reception. It uses a receiver and a transmitter for wireless communication.
