Conference phones allows people to set up interactive meetings with anyone anywhere in the world. A typical, mid-range conference phone consists of two or more microphones and a speaker loud enough to fill a small room or a huge conference hall.
A corded conference phone is fixed to a telephone wall socket. It can only be used in one room. The base unit and the handset are contained in a single device.
A cordless or wireless conference phone is mobile; it can be used anywhere in the office. It is ideal for small offices or home businesses with no actual conference or meeting rooms. It consists of a base station that plugs into a wall socket and two or more rechargeable handsets (or headsets) that allow the users to be mobile. Its range is limited to 100 to 150 feet. Cordless Conference Phones may not work in offices or areas with metal walls.
Phonebook: Choose a conference phone that allows you to store important numbers and display them on the LCD screen. For more convenience, look for one with the capability to preprogram frequently called numbers.
Intercom: Look for a conference phone with a free intercom feature that allows you to communicate with other people in the other room.
