Equalizers are electrical audio devices used to boost and cut separate the frequencies that make up an audio signal. This procedure is done by using several filters that attenuate the fixed audio frequency bands and a bandwidth’s center frequency. Equalizers also control the mid frequencies of several bands. They are used for sound enhancement, boosting sound pickups, reducing interferences, and lowering noise. Two of the major tones that they adjust include Bass (Low Frequency or LF) and Treble (High Frequency or HF).
Input jacks: Choose an equalizer with different input jacks for use with different audio-visual devices like stereos and DVD players. Just make sure your AV device is equipped with the corresponding output connector.
Number of bands: If you want a wide variety of bands, choose a graphic equalizer or a digital parametric equalizer that provides 10 to 30 bands. True response: Choose a true response equalizer to ensure realistic sound outputs corresponding to the GUI settings or front panel indicators. This feature also provides separate band adjustment and removes overload and band interaction.
