Headphone covers are usually made of soft leatherette or foam. They are made to mould snugly over earphones or headphones but are easy to remove at the same time. There are four types of headphone covers: plain, doughnut, leatherette, and standard ear cushion.
Experts advice that you replace torn or tattered headphone covers to prevent ear infection. Loose material can get inside the ears and block the ear canal.
Plain headphone covers are made of black durable and soft foam.
Doughnut headphone covers
Doughnut headphone covers are made of soft foam with holes in the middle.
Leatherette headphone covers
Leatherette headphone covers are made of supple, leatherette material. They are thicker than the plain headphone covers and are also more durable and resistant to tearing.
Standard ear cushions
Standard ear cushions are made of lightweight leatherette. They provide maximum comfort for extended use and are ideal for large headphones.
