The Type-S speakers feature a larger voice coil and silk soft-dome tweeter with swivel mount design to produce high-quality sound. The new grille not only has a sleek aluminum look, but is also designed to help optimize sound by improving sound dispersion. The angle of the tweeter guard complements the angle of the surround guard, resulting in linear expansion of sound and less distortion of mid and high frequencies. Entry Level Alpine is Always a Good Value - Bryan J. Robinson, Feb 25, 2008

These Alpine's are really clear and tight. They provide great balance for my new car stereo. These specs - 92 db and 32 htz - campare favorable to almost any other high-end car speakers available.

After all these years, there's still only 2-3 main choices for good car speakers: Alpine, Infinity, or Polk Audio. Alpine is the best value of the bunch.

These speakers produce a clear and rich sound. They're far and away better than the factory speakers (to Toyota's credit, the factory ones lasted 10 years). Being newly installed, I've only run them for a handful of hours. I'm guessing they'll sound even better after their break-in period.

In order to install these in my Toyota Celica, I needed an adapter to size these to the 8" cutout that the factory speakers were in. It was a bit of a challenge to find, as no local stores sold the necessary adapters (big chains or small shops). [...]

I purchased these from dealercost through Amazon and am very happy with the product.

These speakers produce smooth highs and decent midbass, even off stock factory power. They would even better amped. Especially for the price, these are a good value.

Installed in my 02 Civic by Best Buy , who do all my car audio installations and do a great job. Speakers are top notch for the price. Clear Sound Quality.
Buy them for your ride ASAP.
