Before I comment on the quality, you should know: THIS IS A BIG CENTER SPEAKER! About the size of a smaller wastebasket. If you're space-conscious, you should probably try the smaller model BIC...

The center channel is where a majority of the action happens when watching a movie or listening to music in 5.1 mode. If you were to make one upgrade in your setup, you get the most bang for the buck with the center.

Anyhow, big speaker, big sound. The sound is wide enough to create a convincing 'wall of sound' with the left and right fronts. With the separate woofers and tweeters, instruments are well-separated in the mix and also provide a pretty-sounding bass.

If you are an appreciator of audio and have a capable system, I would highly reccomend this as a purchase. I come from an 'all-in-one-home-theater' background, so hearing something with this much clarity and richness was new and quite noticeable.

very nice center - works great so far - been using it about a week now and so far so good - this is my first HT setup - so i cant compare with other Center channels etc. - but for the price - you will get a great speaker - i would buy this again and would buy from Bic America again -
no regrets - and blends in very nicely with my Klipsch KG3 fronts - i have the surrounds also from Bic

After reading all the positive reviews about the BIC DV62CLRS speaker I took the plunge and ordered 3 from Amazon for the Center and left and right of a 7.1 surround system. I was very skeptical about the performance of a $110.00 speaker to say the least! In the stock out of the box condition the speaker sounded bright and sizzly. I had read the reviews of the ED Frias modified speakers and decided to contact Ed Frias and send him the crossovers for modification, Man I am glad I did. The difference in sound quality is huge with the crossover mods. The speaker becomes a quality transducer producing a huge open transparent detailed soundstage. These speakers when modified can compete with very expensive speakers (I know it's hard to believe) but it's true! The speakers have quality drivers, Pearless look a likes with pearless/vifa look a like tweeters. This, in my opinion is why they sound as good a they do, and modified they do sound very good. Don't be fooled by the low price, these speakers use quality drivers and once modified are extremely detailed and become a quality transducer of clean open transparent sound! Just order them from Amazon and contact Ed Frias at EFE speaker technology and let him modify the crossover.......you will be very pleased!

I have owned this speaker for a couple of years and have it paired with two BIC DV64 tower speakers for my front speakers. It is a large center speaker and really puts out the sound. Most movies use this speaker for dialogue and I have found that the DV-62 is perfect for that. Great clear sound, looks great, great price. You will not be disappointed!

This is a great (maybe the best) center speaker for under $100. It is exactly what I was looking for in my game room. It has more bass than most other centers and has a higher sensitivity than most. I needed this to better match the other speakers in my setup. I can play it at low volume and it still sounds rich. It has a decent sound radius too. You can tell they did cut costs a bit though. What they did was produce a large thin- boxed ported center speaker that can produce a better base range at the cost of some accuracy. It's like a good bookshelf speaker. Make sure you have room for it!
