This battery gives me 3 hours more than the stock battery and has recharged in a fair amount of time. It is a little heavier, but does not unbalance the camcorder. I would recommend buying this. I might get another.

I only had occassion to use it twice, and it seems to work just fine. I heard aftermarket batteries sometimes only go a couple of times, hopefully this one will go better than that.

It's nice to have an extra battery. This allows you to charge one while the video camera is still in use. You don't want to get caught in the middle of a take and not have a backup battery.
